It tells the story of Cold War Berlin with simple, everyday objects. An excellent guidebook is part of the exhibition. Included in the objects is a three-piece suit and tie that I wore for evenings out on the Ku'damm or at the Philharmonic, representing the American soldiers' love of participating in the social and cultural life of the great city. Occasionally I wore it for work. The almost electric blue color is typical of 1969!

Unfortunately (?) there is no color photo of me wearing it. The i.d. photo with it below, as veterans of that era notice immediately, also shows off my period sideburns, a benefit of working on a special project for Berlin Brigade's G-2 Division.
